The Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) is the major representative body of boarding schools. Founded in 1966 in London, UK, it now has nearly 600 member schools in 35 countries worldwide. Apart from promoting the benefits of boarding education, the Association offers training and advisory on a range of topics pertaining to school management to its members.

More than 80,000 students are being educated in BSA member schools. To quality as a member, a school has to demonstrate high standards of education and student welfare. In the boarding accommodation, the facilities, meals and activities must all be recognised as promoting students’ wellbeing. The BSA is also associated with the Safeguarding and Child Protection Association (SACPA). Therefore, parents can be reassured that their children are taken good care of if they attend a boarding school with BSA membership.
