A.J. Edwards has taught high school for five years in both virtual and face-to-face settings. After serving four years in the military, Mr Edwards left the service wanting to continue to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Upon completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and History from Northern Illinois University, Mr Edwards became a certified secondary educator and taught high school English Language Arts in Aurora, Colorado. Upon receiving his MA degree in English Literature and Literacy from the University of Colorado, Denver, Mr Edwards has continued to support students through a variety of classes and subjects taught at the secondary level. He has a variety of educational expertise including supporting students in reading, writing, and language skills as well as supporting other teachers in their disciplinary literacy instruction. In his free time, Mr Edwards enjoys reading, training at the gym, and going on adventures with his wife, daughter, and dog.
