One-Day Family Experience: All-inclusive event at NUCB International College

NUCB International College (NIC), an international boarding high school in Nisshin City, Japan, is set to host its popular "NIC Family One-Day Experience”, on Saturday, 9 December, 2023.

This event extends a warm invitation to both Japanese and international junior high school students, along with their parents, offering to experience first-hand the innovative education style of the school. A captivating programme has been curated to immerse guests in the vibrant atmosphere of the school, exploring the cutting-edge boarding house and school building, educational offerings, and daily life at NIC.

Throughout the event, students and their parents are invited to enjoy the variety of programmes orchestrated by our dedicated teachers and students, in the caring environment of the school. Activities include an IB workshop which will focus on global issues from a mathematical lens — an ideal opportunity to grasp NIC's distinctive teaching style, seamlessly integrating the learning of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum with the Harvard-style Case Method. At NIC, students also learn also outside of the classroom. Participants will be offered to try out Golf as part of the Engage Programme at the excellent facilities of the beautiful Campus. Many other surprises prepared by students will take place, to encourage friendships and bonds among participants at NIC students.

Since English is the official language of the curriculum at NIC, it is also the primary language used throughout the day. Nevertheless, the school's staff will be on hand to facilitate communication for Japanese speakers. Parents can look forward to a dedicated school information session and individual consultations, providing direct access to teaching staff and admissions officers.
Participation is free, with applications accepted from NIC's webpage, until Thursday, 7 December. Seats are limited and attributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

NIC remains committed to its mission of nurturing future world-class leaders, offering a unique educational environment where students from diverse backgrounds, both local and international, can learn and thrive together. Endorsed by the Aichi Prefecture and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, NIC proudly holds the distinction of being certified as an IB World School—a pioneering achievement, positioning it as the inaugural international boarding high school in the Tokai region and one of Japan's select few.

NIC Advantages

In addition, the Summer School for prospective students (July) and a preparatory course (the Bridging Programme) for September admission are also offered.

The school provides a safe and secure co-educational boarding environment with reference to international boarding standards.
