MISSION & VISION

The founder, Dr. Yuichi Kurimoto, was the first international student to graduate from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta, Canada in 1930. Upon his return to Japan, he recognized that education system in Japan had been limited, and so he decided to make it available to the Japanese youth of the day.

Mission Statement

We aim to develop caring, innovative and ethical leaders with a frontier spirit who can create a peaceful and sustainable society. Our graduates will have the ability to bridge the gap between international cultures.

Vision

We aim to be the premier international boarding school in the Asia region, cultivating a ‘frontier spirit’ and academic excellence in creating pathways to ethical leadership.

    Parent organisation Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) founded

  • 1968

    Relocation to Nisshin campus began, pioneering suburb locations for university campuses in Japan

  • 1976

    Computer Center opened

  • 1978

    Central Information Centre (library) opened

  • 1981

    General Language Education Centre opened

  • 1986

    Campus LAN completed

  • 1996

    Study abroad program (Frontier Spirit Programme) inaugurated

    Faculty of Global Studies established

    Millennium Gate completed
