Malachi Broome

Biography

After experiencing the transformative power of education, Mr. Broome decided he wanted to become a teacher. Soon after completing his undergraduate degree in law at the University of London, Mr. Broome decided to spend a year in Japan. Many years later, having met his wife and started a family, Mr. Broome remains firmly ensconced in Japan, a country he is delighted to call home.

Mr. Broome holds Qualified Teacher Status and has an M.A. in International Education from the University of Bath. His dissertation focused on how the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, in general, and the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course, in particular, foster critical thinking. Mr. Broome has taught a variety of IB roles, including History, English A, and TOK.
