Hello! My name is Rin and I am an 8th-grade student.

Why did you choose to join the NIC Summer School?

I decided to join NIC Summer School because being in an international environment, I thought that it would be a great way to improve my English skills, particularly in speaking and listening.

How happy were you with the whole Summer School experience?

This Summer School allowed me to make friends with many people. Also, I personally think that my English listening skills have improved.

What is your best memory of NIC Summer School?

I liked the fireworks best. The reason for that is that this activity gave me the opportunity to talk to everyone and get to know them better. I also enjoyed Nagoya Aquarium because the dolphin show was interesting and I learned a lot about plastic waste.

What do you think about the Case Method learning approach?

The Case Method Challenge workshop was an interesting way to teach us about what business is. I really enjoyed having the chance to think of a business of my own as this is not a topic that we usually study much at school.

Which skills do you think NIC Summer School 2021 has helped you to improve?

I think that I learned how to think more efficiently. I also was able to expand my knowledge about SDGs.

What advice would you give to a student thinking about joining NIC Summer School?

You don't need to worry about anything. You can experience fun activities, learn a lot of skills and also make a lot of friends. I am very happy that I joined.
