Hello! My name is Hwain and I am an 8th-grade student.

Why did you choose to join the NIC Summer School?

I decided to join the NIC Summer School mostly because I wanted to learn Design Thinking and Life Skills in English.

How satisfied were you with the whole NIC Summer School 2021 experience?

I was very satisfied with the whole NIC Summer School experience because the activities like the Nagoya Aquarium, the Science Museum and writing the ideas on the SDGs paper were awesome.

What is your best memory of NIC Summer School 2021? Why?

My best memory of the Summer School was the Design Thinking Workshop because the group I worked with was able to have interesting group discussions and create good presentation material.

What do you think about the Case Method learning approach? Why?

I thought it is an interesting approach! In the case method challenge, we were discussing what business we should do and how much we could earn from it.
The case method really helps you to nurture ideas.

Which activity required the most effort to work together as a team?

The activity which required the most effort to work as a team would be the Case Method Challenge because we had to reflect on business and generate ideas on that topic. In general, I liked the programme because a lot of time was allocated for discussions and teamwork.
