Biography
Suhye (Sue) Kim completed her high school and university education in Canada, where she experienced firsthand the transformative power of an international academic environment. This immersion in a diverse learning setting, combined with the inspiration she drew from her own mentors, shaped her desire to pursue education as a lifelong vocation. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Ottawa, graduating with academic
excellence (Cum Laude).
Sue’s professional journey is rooted in her deep expertise in accounting. During her undergraduate studies, she worked at a tax accounting firm, where she developed a keen understanding of taxation systems and corporate financial structures. This background allows her to bring a unique, practical perspective to the classroom. By bridging the gap between abstract economic theory and concrete accounting practice, she helps her students see how fiscal policies and financial reporting
actually shape the global markets they see in the news. After earning her Master of Science in Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Sue has dedicated herself to fostering dynamic and interdisciplinary learning environments. She is passionate about using her specialized background in accounting and management to guide students through the complexities of the modern economic landscape.
