In 1999, Kozminski University (previously called the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management - LKAEM) became the 16th business school in Europe to be accredited with the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in Brussels (considered by many to be the most prestigious accrediting body in the world). As the only EQUIS-accredited institution in Central and Eastern Europe, Kozminski University is considered the best business school in the region, combining internationally recognized teaching standards with full academic rights and the reputation of a centre of excellence in research.
