The University of Chile, Faculty of Economics and Business

Founded in 1842, the University of Chile is the country's oldest higher education institution and the establishments of the Faculty of Economics and Business came almost a century later in 1934 in order to respond to Chile’s growth needs and contribute to its developing economy. 20 Chilean Presidents have been students of the University of Chile and the first Dean of its Faculty of Economics and Business also became a President; this showcases the university's importance and contribution to the country.
