【Report】Higashiyama Zoo, Music experience & Science experiment

On the 6th day of the NIC Summer School, students visited Higashiyama zoo and the Botanical garden! It was another hot day, but our participants enjoyed taking a break from studying and seeing the animals.

The afternoon consisted of classes like the NIC Music Experience, taught by our music teacher, Megumi Matsui. Students had to use their bodies to create a unique rhythm to the do-re-mi song and presented them in groups at the end. Many students found it an entertaining experience and were able to pose their own ideas as well as appreciate others’ suggestions. Some students also mentioned that they tried to be creative by searching for new ways to make sounds with their limbs.
