【Report】Tricky Translations

In the workshop "Tricky Translations", led by Y. Goh and T. Hirai, students explore how tricky it can be to simply communicate and the different avenues of utilizing language in their everyday life.
They reflect on the way they understand game rules, the way they give directions to a location, the way they would navigate conflict and disagreements, to the way they re-explain the same concept to a different audience.
Students gain an appreciation for how language fluency and intricacy can affect them in every aspect of daily life differently, and how important language skills are in their everyday routines.
