Kengo

My name is Kengo, and I am currently in Year 10 at NIC. I participated in the 2023 Summer School. Now, as a Year 10 student, I enjoy studying math and playing the guitar.

What made you decide to join the NIC Summer Camp?

My mother studied at Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, which is affiliated with NIC. That connection really got me interested in the programme.

How did your experience at NIC Summer Camp evolve from the first day, and what valuable lesson did you take away from it?

At first, it felt quite challenging, but I quickly made friends who helped me feel welcome and comfortable. Over time, I also learned the importance of having a structured schedule, which taught me how to manage my time more effectively.

How did it feel to stay in a boarding environment?

Staying in a boarding environment was very enjoyable. I had so much fun living with my classmates, sharing our daily routines. The Summer Camp schedule is very close to a normal day of school at NIC, as a regular student. It would include class time, meals time, study time and recreative time.

What do you think about the Case Method learning approach?

I think the Case Method is a very engaging way to learn. We had to go beyond what we have learned and think critically so it was a very meaningful learning experience.

Which aspect or point of NUCB International College did you feel the most interesting for you?

Make sure that you are ready to manage your own time! Self-management is key to making the most of the experience.
