Language Center
The Language Center is recognizable by its use of mirror glass and is used as a base for foreign language education. The entrance hall is filled with flags of countries represented by study and faculty body at NUCB. In 2010 solar panels were installed to provide an energy-friendly environment.
Entrance
The national flags at the entrance on the second floor represent the nationalities of the Nagoya University of Commerce faculty, staff, and students. The lounge is bathed in natural light from the ceiling, and the wave-shaped sofas are designed to help students relax.
Multimedia room
There are two multimedia rooms equipped with the CALL system (PC@LL software recorder), a tool to support comprehensive language skills acquisition. Here, students can record their own voices on a computer and compare their pronunciation with that of a native speaker, and the instructor can check the recorded voice data back to the class for further advanced language learning.
