Who are you and what is your background?
I am Buyandelgerekh. I am Mongolian.
What led you to choose Japan and NIC for your education?
I have been very interested in Japan's culture ever since I was a child.
What do you want to do after graduating from NIC?
I want to go to my dream university which is an Ivy League in the United States.
Did you have any apprehension regarding your new life as a boarder before coming to NIC?
Yes, just a little bit. It was my first time living alone in a country so I was a bit nervous. But getting used to living at NIC wasn't challenging because I made a lot of friends quickly which has helped me adjust and made my time here really fun.
What do you usually do in your free time?
I like to read manga or go out and play ports.
What is your favourite school subject and why?
I like all the subjects but I really look forward to Chemistry as we always do experiments and Mr.Hanifi is very funny.
What is your best memory so far and why?
It's not a memory but an everyday thing. I finish school and I walk and look at the beautiful sunset right in front of me. It helps relieve my stress and helps me be at peace.
What is the best advice you can give to anyone considering applying to NIC?
It's a fun experience. You only live once so just do it!
