August Summer School 2021

A 3-day unique summer learning experience

The second edition of our summer school will be taught during the 3rd week of August, focusing on the three skill areas below. We are looking for aspiring young leaders to join us.

1. Leadership

Discover your leadership potential. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice leadership skills via different group projects including one focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals where you will take the lead in a field study and then present your ideas.

2. Collaboration

Challenge yourself as you learn how to collaborate with others in small groups. You will participate in authentic, problem-solving and creative projects using such approaches as Case Method direct from Harvard Business School and theatre-sports during which you will improvise and act out scenarios in teams.

3. Life Skills

Develop real skills for real situations. You will develop your self-management, reflection, design thinking and communication skills via a variety of interesting activities under the guidance of NIC teachers and NUCB student mentors.

  • Nagoya City teenager tour
  • Case Method challenge
  • Team-building campus challenge
  • Multinational corporation field study trip
  • Theatre-sports
  • Personal project
  • Critical thinking games
